Any photo rendered in media of your choice
Scot Hartshorn is an avid hunter, wildlife artist, former wildland firefighter and a resident of New Mexico. He spends his off days looking for sheds, hunting and fishing, taking photographs and rendering scenes of the outdoorsman and the hunt or whatever wildlife scene is most recently captivating or commissioned. He recently hung up his boots as a wildland firefighter for the U.S. Forest Service in southern Colorado and for the New Mexico Forestry Division. A Christian and father to a son with special needs, a new chapter in life has begun. "I went 20 years without picking up a pencil."
He received a full tuition scholarship to the Art Institute of Dallas in 1992 and also later went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Management from Texas Tech University in 2003. His paintings have been on display in the Texas State Capitol and in various galleries and restaurants- primarily in the San Luis Valley of southern Colorado where he spent 10 years working in timber management and fighting fires for the U.S. Forest Service.
Contact him if you're interested in having that special hunt or fishing trip of a lifetime drawn, painted or done in any media of your choice. Charcoal and watercolor in 30" X 40" are some of his favorites. He also likes doing paintings on European mounts.
